Anthony Grasso books PNC Bank commercial

Pipeline Productions shoots a three part commercial for PCN bank in NJ!  The commercial was shot like a film on location with a talented cast, amazing director and a professional crew who couldn't have been nicer. Industrial commercials can be very lucrative and can gain momentum to booking other roles.
I hope to work with this production company again! Stay tuned for next update!

Things to remember when working with a reader for your next Audition!

When you go out on auditions you normally audition with a reader.  Here are a couple of points to think about:

  • When you work with a reader you still want to engage with the reader.  Make them re-ACT.
  • Most readers will give you a simple read but don't get caught in their energy and remember to take care of yourself and craft strong choices!
  • Remember if you engage the reader and they perk up,  the producers will perk up, then the director will perk up. The energy in the room will change and you will become a strong contender and on your way to possibly booking the role.

This is some of the things I cover in my audition class. My approach is arming my students with information and offering strong technique to help you book the job!

April 3rd and April 4th is my next Free audit dates for my Tuesday and Wednesday classes. March is sold out but a few spaces will be opening for April and May. If you are serious and  looking for a on - camera class than email me your pic/resume and what date you would like to audit.  Only one class per audit

TV pacing vs Film pacing. Know the difference!

TV pacing vs Film pacing. This is a common oversight many actors miss at their auditions. If you are reading for a cop for a sitcom it is a very different than reading for a cop for a  Law & Order audition You must understand the tone and the pacing for the genre you are reading. Also know the writer's work (Google them) For example, if you are reading say for an Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network & Moneyball) film and even though it is a film audition, you can find out that he came from TV and his style is rapid speed and much faster pace for film. This will help you make strong choices that are appropriate for the material.

This is one of the things I cover in my class. My approach is arming my students with information and offering strong technique to help book the job!

You must have some prior training for either class.

One on One on HOW TO GET an AGENT Free Consultation was a huge hit!

In this time where social media and emails are the norm to communicate nowadays, I held one on one phone call consultations on tips on "How do I sign with an Agent" and what actors can do to get agents interested. It was so refreshing to actual connect with people verbally, being we seldom talk on phones anymore as a way to connect. I believe many of the actors received useful information and I certainly enjoyed speaking with each and every one of them. I hope to do it again in the near future but stay tuned for a "BIZ Pow Wow" workshop in the works !
